2017 was our inaugural season. We did some things well, and with some things... we muddled through. Kits and dues were more on the "muddling" side of the equation.
We want to build on those experiences, and make them better as the team moves forward.
To that end, we have changed how we collect dues, and how we order jersey's this year.
Now (and moving forward) all sales of gear and payment of dues will be through this website!
Last year, we didn't have the website: now we do. The website make all these things "One stop shopping" for our parents and guardians. You can use the website, 24/7, and we want you to get used to the idea of it being the central clearinghouse of information and team products.

Dues
In 2017 we charged $100. dues, and that included a jersey. Since every student needed a jersey in 2017, this seemed to make sense. We sent invoices through PayPal to each parent. PayPal charged a pretty heavy fee.
In 2018, (and going forward) we will be actually lowering dues, as to not penalize returning team members. Coaches reason that many returning members might already have a jersey that fits them, and is in good shape, so why make them buy another?
Mountain biking can be expensive. We want to make it as affordable as possible. By lowering dues, we hope that parents will potentially save money, or resell their kids jerseys to new riders, if they need larger sizes.
Dues in 2018 are $65.00. That is 35% lower than in 2017!

Jerseys
We are required to have at least an "identifying top" for meets. We have created these cool jerseys for this purpose. We also have t-shirts that could qualify, but they will likely not hold up to the abuse as well as the jerseys, and are not as awesome for racing as the jersey.
- If you still have a jersey from last year...Great! Use it! This saves you money!
- If you want a new jersey this year, but had one last year, maybe you can sell your old jersey to one of the newer members of the team.
- If you just want a new jersey because you grew, or maybe you just want a second jersey, that's also cool.
Jerseys are $65.00 ea.
Sizing/Ordering
If the webpage will not let you order the jersey size you want, in the quantity you want, that means we don't have it in inventory. This does not mean that you can't order what you want...you can. It just means there will be lag-time between your order, and when your receive your jersey.
If you don't want to wait, we suggest that you buy the jersey a little larger than is presently necessary. Your rider will grow into it, as they will be riding FOR LIFE!
Shorts & Bibs
Shorts and bibs are optional
There is no NICA requirement for team shorts. These are completely optional, but they do make a pretty impressive "kit" for your team member (see photo below)
We offer two types of "bike pants"
1. Shorts -
These are the typical bike pants you see people wearing that are stretchy and have padding incorporated into the parts that contact the seat. This makes riding a lot more comfortable, especially on longer rides, summer rides, and rides that are more active.
2. Bibs -
Bibs look more like a wrestling singlette. They incorporate straps that go over the shoulders. Some riders prefer the fit and feel of bibs to shorts. Some riders like the fact that no "gap" can develope between the bottom of the jersey, and the top of the shorts, where bare skin can be visible.
Whatever the reason, bibs do have a place in cycling, and you have this option for your kit if you so desire.
As with jerseys, if the website will not let you order the shorts or bibs in the size and style you want, that means it is out of inventory. Again, these can be ordered, but it will take some time.
Full kits are pretty impressive.
