Mountain Biking is Great!
This team is like no other. Here's why:
We don't "drill" - yes, we practice some skills, but it will be things you want to learn, and we gain our fitness by riding and fixing trails
Fun First - This is a sport, and you will get good at it over the course of the season. But we don't get good by sacrificing fun. We believe the two go together.
Prime Directive - our #1 goal as Coaches is to have you love mountain biking at the end of the season. If we accomplished that goal, we consider the season a complete success.
This sport plays well with others - Some Coaches in other sports might not want you mountain biking, but our Coaches know you have a life outside of Mountain biking, and we will alway work to make our sport work with your other interests.
You don't have to race - Some of our riders went to every race; some went to none. We want you to do what feels right for you. Meets are great, and we have a blast. But if it isn't your thing, we get it, and we will respect your decision. No one rides the pines.
Parents can practice with us - Pretty cool right? What other sport lets that happen.
As is our tradition, a collection of thoughts about our season.
