Girl's RoC Camp Announced!

Interested in mountain biking, but you’re not sure where to start? Maybe you just want to get out of the house this summer and learn something new. Are you a girl? Well this camp is definitely for you! Over the course of 4 nights you will get an introduction to mountain biking taught by female coaches. You will learn proper trail riding skills, bike safety, and more.

In addition to learning some new skills, you’ll also receive a draw string bag, t-shirt, and a water bottle.

All camp-goers are required to bring a helmet, closed toes shoes, water, and athletic clothing (not cotton), and of course, your bike. If you don’t have a bike one may be provided to you through the Hammers MTB team.

Rough Itinerary:

Night 1-

Everyone’s bikes will be checked for safety, chains, gears, breaks, tire pressure, the works. Seat height will also be set up correctly. We’ll get to know everyone, chat about bike safety, and start with basics.

Night 2, 3, 4-

Each night you will progress your skills by following a plan formulated by NICA and the Hammers.

Of course mountain biking can be dangerous, safety is super important. All NICA coaches have first aid training, not to mention a lot of our coaches are medical professionals.

You won’t be pushed to do anything you don’t feel comfortable with and we’re sticking to the easy trails. Each night there will be water and a snack provided. The coaches will always have extra water and fist aid kits on hand when we go out the trails. The camp will be help rain or shine, so check the weather!

We hope to see you out there!
