MUD! MUD! MUD!!!
I could probably stop right there in my description, but it was sooo much more.
This first meet was not like any other we had experienced in the 2017 season.
It was really wet all year.
It was held on private property - good thing, but some extra challenges.
It was a brand new course, not yet worn in by bikes.
Put all these things together, and you have a fairly high stress, very muddy, very unstable course and weekend of riding.
What it all means to the Hammers:
I think we behaved (for the most part) very respectfully.
I think it’s great that the new member of the team now have this epic meet under their belts.
I think that as usual, the camping and “down time” is as important to our team as the racing.
I’m proud of the team and all the parents and supporting players. It really takes a full effort from a lot of folks to pull off these weekends. Thanks to all who contributed.
