Hopewell Challenge 2018 - Debrief, results, accounting.

The Hopewell Challenge 2018, was as wonderful and spectacular as always.  Here are some of the features...in no particular order:

The trails were in good shape.  Only one or two wet/muddy spots.  That's pretty amazing considering the record rainfall we have had this summer.  Super volunteers (like Harold Shrawder), and the Hammers team and Coaches spent a good amount making sure the trails were ready for "prime time".  As a result, our racers had a lot of nice things to say about the course and the trails.

Speaking of the course, we changed it up a bit this year.  Caleb (Hammer's team member) had the idea of using the Easy Bake Oven Trail, to get to the top of Bowie's Blast, so we could incorporate that fun section, before proceeding to The Gut Trail for the traditional death-climb there which includes the "Fridge-Bridge".  The racers seemed to like this new routing quite a bit.  Great suggestion, Caleb!

The first 50 racers (we only had 35) were awarded awesome Hopewell Challenge T-shirts.  These feature the always stylish "Bullet Baby" doll head that inspired the trail of the same name.  If you want a shirt of your own, you can order it here, and show your Hopewell Spirit.
